The mission of the library is to serve students by providing access to information, by maintaining an environment that promotes a culture of academic excellence, and by offering instruction that fosters scholarship, integrity, independent intellectual growth, and the sophisticated information skills necessary for lifelong learning.
The Library Learning Commons, located on the lower level of the library, supports this mission by offering currently enrolled Carroll students, free of charge, opportunities to strengthen their academic skills. Along with a great place to study, the Learning Commons offers seven academic support services: Academic Workshops, Career Services, Math Center, Subject Tutors, Supplemental Instruction, Research Assistance and Writing Assistants.
