Off-Campus Access to the Library Can I access the library databases from home? If so, how? Yes! With our EZ Proxy method, off-campus access to online databases has been made simple. To access a Carroll library database from home, simply click on any library database hyperlink found on List of Databases, the Library Catalog or Subject Guides. Log in with your Carroll University username and password, just as you would log in to the my.carrollu.edu site. If you are new to campus or have forgot your password, please contact the ITS help desk at 262.524.7229 or helpdesk@carrollu.edu. I am having trouble accessing the library databases from home/work. What should I do? If you have followed the directions above and are still not able to gain access to the library databases, please contact the Reference Desk at (262) 650-4892. Due to plug ins and PDF - pop-ups, Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or higher is recommended or Safari 4.0 for Mac users. If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer, make sure you are using version 7.0 or higher and pay attention to the information bar for blocked pop-ups or plug-in notices. The University is currently using Adobe Reader 9.0 for viewing PDFs. If you need this software, please visit http://www.adobe.com. If there are any further problems, we will work with you to solve them to ensure that you will have home/work access. You can also contact Nancy Bennett at nbennett@carrollu.edu or 262-650-4886. |
